Our Team of Elders, Deacons and Trustees
WCC is led by a board of seven elders, deacons and trustees, combined. Our elders function in a pastoral role, serving the spiritual needs of the congregation. Our deacons minister in practical areas of need, and our trustees fulfill the legal requirement of New York State and vote to make important legal and financial decisions concerning the church. Some of our board members serve in more than one type of leadership role, but all seven are trustees.
Nathan Smith serves as an elder, deacon, and one of our worship leaders. His wife Katrina serves as a trustee and deaconess. The Smiths have been a part of the WCC for eight years and have four adult children and three small children still at home. Nathan works as a software engineer and Katrina homeschools their three youngest.
Chris Perkins serves as our church treasurer and trustee.
His wife, Mary Jo, serves as an elder and deaconess. Chris is retired from having his own car dealership, and Mary Jo is a "retired" registered nurse whom everyone knows will actually never retire from serving the needs of the people around her! The Perkins's have been with WCC from its very beginning.

(photo coming soon) Barry Keller serves as our board secretary, trustee and deacon. He is retired from the US postal service and enjoys gardening and spoiling his two Yorkshire terriers.
Kids' Church Teachers
(photo coming soon) Darlene Gee and her granddaughter, Olivia Gee, teach our children's class every Sunday. Darlene likes to bake and sell cheesecakes, and spend time with her grandkids and husband, Gary, and Olivia is in her first year of college. Together Darlene and Olivia bring the Bible to life with dynamic lessons, exciting games and crafts. They have been involved in kids' ministry for many years, and joined WCC in 2024.
